SKUP report of a Covid-19 Ag Test
SKUP is a Scandinavian group that performs independent evaluations of the analytical quality and user-friendliness of laboratory equipment and rapid tests used in point of care testing (POCT).
The report from the SKUP evaluation of Flowflex SARS-CoV-2 Ag Rapid Test is now published on www.skup.org. The evaluation was performed in a test centre using nasal swabs from over 500 patients. The overall diagnostic sensitivity was 75 %, which did not meet the WHO recommendation of at least 80 %. The diagnostic sensitivity was over 80 % when looking at the patients with ct values over 25. The overall diagnostic specificity was 99,6 %, which met the WHO recommendation of at least 97 %. The user-friendliness was deemed satisfactory.
